Welcome to Field Notes from
Bringing Inspiration Home.
Observations & reflections from life at home and on the road.
Iâve never liked the word blog. Even after 20 years, it still grates on me. Itâs always reminded me of blobâa word that feels like the antithesis of anything thoughtful or beautiful. Journal never quite fit either. Too private. Too casual.
But over the years, Iâve gathered plenty of what I would call field notesâand field notes are meant to be shared, if theyâre at all useful. From here on in, my blog posts will be known as field notes: observations and reflections collected from my travels, Cotswolds retreats, and the rhythms of life at home.
I hope youâll find something here in these field notes that invites you to bring inspiration home.
