SILENT AUCTION // Support families battling SMA by SILENT AUCTION // Support families battling SMA by donating to the Silent Auction for the Love For Lewiston Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. ✨ My cousin @thejessicajanzen and her husband Ronnie founded the @loveforlewiston foundation after their sweet, second-born Lewiston, passed away just before he turned 6 months, due to his battle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). 🦁 LFL supports families with SMA, and their biggest fundraiser of the year is on Lewiston’s birthday weekend in Calgary, Alberta. This May 25 would be Lewiston’s 9th birthday. 🎂 You don’t have to live in Calgary to make a difference. Donate a product or service your business offers, or donate a gift card from your favourite business. Can we talk about a direct flight from SFO-YLW? I’ll be your biggest fan! 🙌 - A crossword puzzle book for take-off and landing. I find these soothing and distracting especially while waiting on the tarmac. #newyorktimescrossword - Watermeadow Breathing Balm by @bertioli.by.thyme is subtle, fresh, calming, and moisturizing. It reminds me of both my Grandmother’s garden and the Cotswolds, so both something of home and away! - Pouch from @riflepaperco filled with travel essentials: hand sanitizer, extra contact lenses, eye drops, hair elastics, etc. - A canvas bag so I can stash things I want to access easily: headphones, books, notebook, pen, warm socks, scarf, toiletry essentials, charging cable, phone, water bottle. - Homemade meal. I love the Mexi-style slaw by @ciaosamin of @saltfatacidheat with some protein for an in-flight main. If I need it to last, I freeze the protein and eat when thawed. Also enjoyed a mandarin orange, sliced cucumbers with salt & pepper, and pepper jack cheese cubes, all brought from home. - A good read, preferably something travel related! @cathy.yandell.author ‘s book “The French Art of Living Well” ticks all the right boxes. - Warm socks and a scarf to use as a lap blanket. Joined some friends on a new hike this Easter week Joined some friends on a new hike this Easter weekend and fell in love with this new favourite, which is a mix of open and exposed terrain, wildflowers and foliage, rolling hills and narrow paths. It was stunning and I can’t wait to revisit it soon, not to mention see what it looks like throughout the seasons. Aside from the views and the lovely company, the best part is that being in nature always points me to its Creator.
